About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated professional to support the day-to-day administration of a corporate 401(k) Plan and related financial wellbeing initiatives. This US-based remote role is approximately 25 hours/week, with a preference for candidates in EST or CST time zones. The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for participant inquiries, manage contribution files, coordinate invoice payments, and ensure the integrity of plan data through regular auditing and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for participant inquiries by researching and responding to questions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Coordinate invoice payments and conduct monthly reconciliation of payments
  • Review and research beneficiary claims
  • Create and reconcile weekly contribution files
  • Prepare wire payments for approvals
  • Audit and maintain plan data quality through weekly and monthly reporting, resolving any discrepancies as they arise
  • Compile plan statistics for internal dissemination
  • Provide annual audit support by gathering documents, preparing data, and running reports
  • Participate in non-discrimination testing data collection, including quarterly and annual data audits
  • Support day-to-day administration of the 401(k) Plan and related financial wellbeing initiatives
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure weekly contributions are processed timely and accurately
  • Interface with team members to assist with questions and provide guidance
  • Work with the plan recordkeeper to identify and resolve data discrepancies

Skills

  • Strong data reconciliation and mathematical problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team framework
  • li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with participants and internal stakeholders
  • Familiarity with data file integrations and HRIS systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of Form 5500 filings is a plus

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in retirement plan administration, including non-discrimination testing and census submission
  • Prior experience supporting external annual audits for retirement plans
  • ASPPA QKA designation or equivalent certification is preferred

Pay

Pay Rate Range: $25 - $30 USD hourly
