About the role

Right At School provides local school districts with before- and after-school extended-day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. The Part-Time Split-Shift Program Manager will oversee programs at two locations, ensuring safety, engagement, and operational efficiency.

Schedule

Part-Time/Split-Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–7:45 am and 2:00 pm–6:00 pm.

Locations: Altura Elementary School (1650 Altura Blvd, Aurora, CO 80011) and Highlands Elementary (1603 E Euclid Ave, Littleton, CO 80121).

Pay

Starting wage: $25–$27.50 per hour, depending on years of experience and educational qualifications in a group setting.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit role model qualities, ensuring safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities for a team of staff members.
  • Support operational efficiency by maintaining up-to-date site documents and licensing standards.
  • Outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensure program tasks are completed effectively.
  • Provide continual coaching and foster respectful relationships among staff to address challenges promptly and maintain team cohesion and productivity.
  • Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants; identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to build effective communication and relationships.
  • Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
  • Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support program goals and implement changes or processes as guided.
  • Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs, ensuring “name to face” attendance procedures are completed per company policy.
  • Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.

Requirements

  • 21+ years of age.
  • One year of experience managing/supervising employees.
  • Proof of a high school diploma/GED.
  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements, including LIVE Scan Fingerprint, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate/Cleared TB, and CPR/FA.
  • Current Large Center Director Certificate OR an active Early Childhood Professional Credential (ECPC), Version 3.0, Level 3 or higher or ECPC, Version 2.0, Level 4 or higher.
  • One of the following educational/experience combinations:
    • Option 1: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate Degree in Child Development; Child Psychology; Early Childhood Education; Early Childhood Special Education; Educational Leadership and Administration; Elementary Education; Family and Human Development; Family Studies; or Special Education (no experience required).
    • Option 2: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate Degree in an unrelated field + 10 required ECE courses + 455 hours of verifiable experience.
    • Option 3: Associate’s Degree + 10 required ECE courses + 455 hours of verifiable experience.
    • Option 4: No degree + 10 required ECE courses + 910 hours of verifiable experience.
  • Required ECE courses:
    • Intro to Early Childhood Education
    • Intro to Early Childhood Education Techniques
    • Guidance Strategies for Young Children OR Department-approved Colorado Pyramid Plus Approach Training
    • ECE Nutrition, Health and Safety
    • Admin of Early Childhood Care and Education Programs
    • Admin: Human Relations for ECE or Intro to Business
    • Curriculum Development: Methods and Techniques
    • ECE Child Growth and Development

Qualifications

  • Experience working amongst competing priorities and delivering quality service to all stakeholders.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a licensed program in a childcare/school setting.
  • Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
  • Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
  • Strong communication skills: oral, written, and visual with adults and children.
  • Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
  • Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
