Part Time After School Site Program Manager -Lamar area schools

About the role

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. The program aims to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities
• Document attendance, incidents, and other observations
• Deliver dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children
• Support homework completion, lead fun fitness activities, and guide children at play
• Communicate effectively with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Mentor and support team members
• Meet regularly with the Area Manager for professional progress and team accountability

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age with a High School diploma/GED
• One year of supervisor/management experience
• 70 clock hours of training in child or youth development, recreational leadership, or management
• At least 1 year of experience in a licensed program

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of experience working with children 5-13 years of age in a formal group childcare setting
• 70 clock hours of training in child or youth development, recreational leadership, or management

Pay

$20-$24 per hour (based on education, experience)

Schedule

2:30 pm-6:30 pm (must be available to work full schedule Monday through Friday) as needed. Must be able to work occasional early release days- the school early release schedule 11:15 am-6:30 pm and any area in the Lamar area schools as needed.
