Part Time Before and After School Educator -JO Combs

About the role

We provide local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities
• Document attendance, incidents, and other observations
• Deliver dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children
• Lead fun fitness activities and guide children at play
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager for professional progress and team accountability

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Documentation of at least one of the following:
• At least 3 months child care experience; and a high school diploma or equivalency, or at least 12 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood, child development, or a closely related field.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood, child development, or a closely related field.
• A N.A.C., C.D.A., or C.C.P. credential.

Qualifications

• At least six months of experience working with children 5-13 years of age in a formal group childcare setting
• Six college credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or a related field (preferred)
• A high school diploma or equivalent

Pay

Up to $19.00 per hour (based on education and years of licensed childcare experience)

Schedule

Before School - 6:15 am-8:00 am AND/OR After School (Must be able to work Monday-Friday) and early release schedule 12:30 pm-6 pm on Wednesdays (may vary slightly)
