About the role
Westfield Country Club is opening a brand-new clubhouse in Spring 2026 featuring a state-of-the-art dining room and bar, a new pool facility, and an exciting new menu and concept. We’re building a new food and beverage team where personal development is a promise, every member can contribute and learn, and every team member is valued.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and other beverages according to standard and house recipes and customer preferences.
- Greet customers, take drink orders, and provide friendly, prompt, and attentive service.
- Engage with customers, answer questions, and make recommendations based on their preferences.
- Fulfill service bar tickets from servers for dining room guests accurately and in a timely manner.
- Serve event bar patrons when assigned to event functions.
- Handle cash and process customer payments accurately; maintain an organized cash register and proper transaction documentation.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, their ingredients, and appropriate serving techniques; stay updated with current beverage trends and new products.
- Adhere to local and state alcohol service regulations; monitor customer alcohol consumption and intervene when necessary to prevent overconsumption or underage drinking.
- Follow health and safety guidelines including proper glassware handling, food safety practices, and bar-area cleanliness; report maintenance or safety issues to management.
- Sustain a high level of customer service through friendly interaction and collaboration with hospitality team members.
- Make beverage selections based on menu and product knowledge; communicate with the Culinary team regarding menu and special requests.
- Set up and break down event bars when assigned; follow banquet event order details for bar selections at assigned events.
- Understand how each hospitality location operates and ensure thorough knowledge of event specifics.
- Maintain quality and function of equipment and storage spaces by following correct operating and cleaning procedures.
Qualifications
- 0–2+ years of experience in bartending or a related field.
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and/or commensurate experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age (Ohio law requires employees pouring and serving liquor and/or wine to be at least 21).

Pay
Starting pay is $15 per hour plus tips.
