Responsibilities
- Support the F&B Supervisors and Beverage Manager in the successful operation of casino service bars.
- Purchase and efficiently produce quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests in a trained, responsible, and professional manner.
- Practice, support, and promote Horseshoe Indianapolis' Company-wide culture.
- Ensure safe and efficient production of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage products according to specified recipes and specifications.
- Manage quality and quantity control, par levels, product storage and rotation, station setup, ingredient preparation, and cleanup.
- Perform legal alcohol service, including checking IDs, measured pours, cutting off service, etc.
- Maintain standards of sanitation, bar and personal hygiene, and cleanliness.
- Ensure that bar and equipment are in good working order and that the work area is clean and hazard-free.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- One year experience in the Beverage Service Industry as a Bartender or similar position is preferred.
- The position requires salesmanship, fast-paced service and production, the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols, and engage in daily professional communication with co-workers and guests.
- The position requires math skills and the ability to multitask, basic beverage knowledge inclusive of specifications (fluid measurements, size, shape, color, glassware, and garnish), product recognition (brand, label, bottle size and color, use, etc.), as defined by hiring management.
- The position requires money handling experience and familiarity with digital touch screen cashiering systems.
- The position requires compliance with HACCP guidelines.
- The position requires scheduling flexibility, may be required to work weekends, holidays, overnight, or overtime, based upon scheduling and business needs.
- The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push or pull 150 to 250 lbs on a pushcart, and enter walk-ins of -10 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit with or without assistance.
- The position requires normal or corrected vision range, with the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
- The position requires the ability to stand for duration of shift, walk frequently, bend and/or reach to a height of 6 feet with or without assistance (stand, sit, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, grasp).
- The position requires access to general gaming floor.
