About the role
Responsible for responding to and correcting faults within the Baggage Handling System (BHS), assisting with basic maintenance, and clearing jams.
Responsibilities
- Assist in clearing baggage handling system jams.
- Support technicians with maintenance tasks like cleaning and greasing.
- Complete safety training and comply with safety policies.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in English.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Security badge.
- Valid driver’s license and insurability.
- Compliance with drug and alcohol policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Preferably experience in an airport environment.
- Strong responsibility, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well with diverse teams and maintain safety standards.
- Basic computer skills for logging and training purposes.
Physical & Work Environment
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting, reaching, standing, and walking.
- Work may involve dust, machinery, and variable temperatures.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.
