Part Time After School Youth Educator -Del Valle

About the role

The ideal candidate will provide before and after-school care for children, focusing on learning activities and daily enrichment. They will work closely with the Right At School team to inspire a love of learning and support the educational goals of the participating schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and care for children during before and after-school hours.
• Engage children in learning activities designed to enhance their academic and social skills.
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for children to explore and grow.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children’s progress and needs.
• Support the educational goals of the participating schools by collaborating with teachers and administrators.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of verifiable experience working with children under 13 years of age in a childcare group-type setting.
• Background clearance completion required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required (within 30 days of employment).
• Cleared tuberculosis test required (within 30 days of employment).
• Proof of MMR required (if required for documentation).
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Monday through Friday availability from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 1:40 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday.

• State-specific requirements for childcare/school settings.

Pay

$15-$18 per hour, depending on years of experience working with kids in a group setting.

Schedule

Must be available Monday through Friday between 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 1:40 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday.
