About the role

Educator Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
  • Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
  • Leading by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
  • Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow safety protocols.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
  • First Aid and CPR-in-person (ability to obtain within 30 days of employment).
  • 18+ years of age.
  • Proof of High School diploma/GED required.

Qualifications

  • At least six months of work in a licensed group childcare center or school.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (not required).
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements; CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Skills

  • Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Pay

$13.00-$15.00 per hour based on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday - no weekends.
