BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planting, watering, weeding, mulching, pruning, and fertilizing various plants, including flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Monitoring plants and identifying and addressing issues like pests and diseases.
- Deadheading flowers and maintaining the overall appearance of plant beds.
- Maintaining garden layouts and landscaped areas.
- Removing debris and litter from plant beds and surrounding areas.
Previous Work Experience
2 years of landscaping/horticulture experience preferred, but not required.
Education
A high school graduate or equivalent, preferred.
Special Skills & Training
- Must be 18 years old.
- Must have a valid Michigan Driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish good working relationships with other employees.
- Must be able to understand and follow oral instructions.
Pesticide License and CDL
Pesticide license and CDL desired but not required.
Start Date & Work Schedule
ASAP
Monday-Friday;
hours vary depending on seasonal demand (typical week is Mon – Fri, 7a – 3p).
