Parents As Teachers Developmental Screener

About the role

Support staff are needed to assist in conducting developmental screenings for children in early childhood settings. This position involves observing and assessing children's developmentally appropriate milestones.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental screenings using standardized tools and techniques
• Document observations and results accurately and promptly
• Communicate findings and recommendations to parents and teachers
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new research

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with young children is preferred
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required to travel)
• Background check and fingerprinting may be required

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office)
