About the role
Parents As Teachers is a community-based organization dedicated to promoting early childhood development and educational success for children from birth to age 8. This position is based at William Lynch Elementary and involves working closely with families to support their children’s learning and development.Responsibilities
- Provide home visits to families to assess their child’s development and needs.
- Offer workshops and classes to parents on topics such as literacy, nutrition, and child development.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure continuity of care and support for children.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of each family’s progress.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field.
- Experience working with young children and their families.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with families.
