About the role
The Camdenton R-III School District seeks a professional to enhance child development and school readiness by working directly with parents through personal home visits, screenings, and group connections.
Responsibilities
- Deliver regular, in-person or virtual 60-minute visits to share parenting strategies, child development information, and fun, age-appropriate activities.
- Perform annual screenings for hearing, vision, and developmental milestones (cognitive, language, social-emotional, motor).
- Plan and lead group meetings, workshops, and playgroups that provide social support, networking, and education for parents.
- Identify family needs and connect them with community resources, such as health care, education, or support services.
- Supporting students with physical needs, health, and safety.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records of home visits, screenings, and family progress.
Requirements
- Certification and/or a four-year bachelor's degree in early childhood, social work, health, psychology, or a related field and demonstrated ability in working with young children and their parents;
- A two-year associate degree or two-year certificate program in early childhood education, child development, or nursing and demonstrated ability in working with young children and their parents;
- Sixty (60) semester hours or more of credit from an academic degree granting institution, which is contained within the United States Department of Education's Directory of Postsecondary Institutions and two (2)-years of successful experience in a program working with young children and their parents, as approved by DESE;
- Five (5) - years of successful experience in a program working with young children and their parents as approved by DESE and a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Ability to speak another language, preferably Spanish (not a requirement).

Begins at $17.94/hr and is commensurate with experience up to 7 years.
