Paraprofessional: 1 to 1 Paraprofessionals for Extended Year (Summer 2026) Program
Duties
- Provide instructional assistance and social-emotional support, under the direction of the teacher, to a small group or individual student(s).
- Responsible for clerical services such as preparing, duplicating, organizing, and distributing materials to children as well as other miscellaneous clerical tasks.
- Support the implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans and classroom routines and procedures as directed by the classroom teacher.
Qualifications
- Presently employed as a Special Education Paraprofessional in the Springfield Public Schools.
- Has not received a layoff notice.
- Preference will be given to paraprofessionals presently working in the same program during the academic year.
- Preference will be given to 1:1 paraprofessionals who currently work with a specific student in an extended year program to facilitate continuity of instruction and social/ emotional development.
- Availability required for entire program work schedule.
- Secured position for school year 2026-2027.
