About the role
Paramedic Nurse Extender responsible for providing age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care under supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient care
- Maintain safety
- Educate patients and families
- Collect and communicate information effectively
- Utilize technology
- Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of healthcare services
- Oversee unlicensed personnel
- Advocate for patients
- Contribute to performance improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Preferred: one year of paramedic experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or complete within 6 months if new to specialty)
- Current licensure as a Paramedic in the state and National Registry preferred
