Paramedic - Emergency Department, Night Shift

Role: Paramedic in a full-time night shift position within a busy emergency department. Responsibilities: Under supervision, provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive patient care; assist in assessment, planning, and implementation of healthcare services; perform tasks such as EKGs, Foley catheterization, IV starts, blood draws, and patient transport; monitor for arrhythmias and communicate changes; advocate for patients, educate families, and oversee unlicensed personnel. Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or GED required; minimum 1 year of paramedic experience preferred. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or within 6 months for new specialty paramedics). State licensure and national registry preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills; proficiency with technology and multitasking essential. Key Duties: Provide safe, culturally competent care, perform medical procedures, utilize monitoring equipment, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
