Paramedic - Emergency Department, Night Shift

Role Overview: This position involves providing age-appropriate, culturally sensitive emergency care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. The Paramedic is responsible for maintaining a safe environment, educating patients and families, collecting information, and effectively communicating while utilizing technology. The role includes participation in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of healthcare services, as well as patient advocacy, teaching, performance improvement, and overseeing unlicensed personnel. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum 1 year of Paramedic experience preferredCurrent Licensed Paramedic certification in the state of Georgia requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required upon hirePediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 180 days for new specialty paramedicsNational Registry Paramedic certification preferred Key Responsibilities Assist in delivering comprehensive emergency careEnsure patient safety and culturally sensitive interactionsEducate patients and families, communicate effectively, and utilize healthcare technologyParticipate in quality improvement and oversee unlicensed staff as needed
