Paramedic
Summary of Job Duties
The Telemedic supports ongoing delivery of teleconferenced stroke care as identified by the IDHI Stroke Program. He/she works under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse and within the EMT or paramedic scope of practice. The Telemedic performs tasks and duties as directed by IDHI Call Center management and medical personnel directing the IDHI Stroke program. Assists in identifying and tracking all calls to the Call Center and data on referrals and case managed patients.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited EMT or Paramedic program
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- At least 6 months of active ambulance service within the past year
- Current EMT or Paramedic license
Responsibilities
- Assists with real-time telemedicine stroke consultations
- Serves as a point of contact for call center operations and patient care coordination
- Tracks and documents incoming calls, referrals, and managed cases
- Collaborates with IDHI Call Center leadership and medical staff
- Performs duties as assigned to support efficient stroke program operations
