About the role
Deliver high-quality patient care in emergency settings.
Responsibilities
- Utilize medical equipment and procedures including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, IV fluids, CPR, and medications.
- Drive ambulances and support navigation to ensure quick response times.
- Maintain certifications and ensure all equipment is clean, stocked, and operational.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and document patient care activities thoroughly.
- Assess patient conditions to determine appropriate transportation destinations, considering insurance and facility preferences.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare and public safety personnel, often working beyond scheduled shifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education preferred.
- Current state Paramedic license and valid driver’s license.
- Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS as applicable.
- Physical stamina, endurance, ability to lift and carry equipment, and pass a physical agility test.
- Good communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety policies.
