Responsibilities
- Organizing Files and moving them forward
- Docketing and scheduling events
- Drafting probate pleadings
- Drafting Estate Planning Documents Wills, Trusts, Deeds, Durable Power of Attorney
- Communicating updates to clients and gathering information
- Helping attorneys prepare for signing meetings
- Weekly case management meetings and logging updates to case files
Qualifications
- Strong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have an advanced paralegal education
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must have great time-management skills and organizational skills
- Florida Probate paralegal for 2+ years preferred
- Florida Estate Planning paralegal for 2+ years required
- A high school diploma is required, but advanced training at a college or university is preferred
- Experience with document building software, WealthCounsel, and/or Westlaw Form Builder is required, but will consider candidates with similar software experience
- Experience with Clio Manage is preferred, but we will consider candidates with similar practice management software experience
- Experience with using Google Mail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar is preferred, and a plus but not required
- Type 70-100 WPM is required
- Spanish Speaker
