About the Role

Segal McCambridge, a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our dynamic team in Austin. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives on challenging, high-level work and values collaboration within a well-established—and growing—organization. Our team handles a diverse range of matters, including construction defect, premises liability, product liability, and other complex general liability cases. This is an in-office position that offers flexibility where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of your files and work closely with attorneys through all phases of litigation—from initial pleadings through trial preparation.
• Play a critical role in driving cases forward while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and organization.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal in civil defense litigation.
• Experience handling Texas matters in both state and federal courts.
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and legal terminology.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
• Meticulous attention to detail in drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Windows applications, e-filing systems, and online research tools.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including interaction with senior-level professionals.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Sound judgment in managing a diverse workload.
• Experience with billing and time entry.

Paralegal certificate or degree preferred, but not required.
