Key Responsibilities
- Aid attorneys with all phases of uncontested probate and estate administration matters, including preparation and filing of petitions, notices, inventories, accountings, and related court documents.
- Support contested probate litigation, including document management, discovery coordination, hearing and trial preparation, and communication with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, probate forms, and other legal documents for attorney review.
- Maintain and organize probate files, exhibits, and supporting documentation.
- Cook with courts, financial institutions, fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and other interested parties throughout the probate process.
- Conduct legal and factual research related to probate procedures and disputes.
- Provide administrative and case management support to ensure matters progress efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Probate Paralegal with exposure to both contested and uncontested probate matters.
- Strong knowledge of probate court procedures, filings, and deadlines.
- Experience supporting litigation matters, including discovery and trial preparation, is highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Proficiency with legal case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
