About the role

The Paralegal assists closing attorneys in preparing loan closing packages for U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) loans.

Responsibilities

• Assists closing attorneys in file management
• Pulls reports required for closing
• Orders and follows up with title orders
• Prepares and compiles loan documentation in compliance with internal and SBA requirements under the direction of the closing attorney
• Develops familiarity with all loan structures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial loan closings, with extensive familiarity with SBA loan documentation
• Familiarity with commercial loan closing documentation
• Highly proficient with file management and PDF software, and MS Office suite
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to follow instructions from senior legal staff and demonstrate initiative
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Paralegal certificate preferred

Pay

$60,000 to $75,000 per year
