About the role
Madison Logic is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Paralegal to support our legal and contracting needs on a part-time basis (approximately 20 hours per week). Reporting to and partnering closely with the Chief Financial Officer, this role will play an important part in reviewing, negotiating, managing, and tracking commercial agreements across the business. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment, managing a high volume of contracts, identifying potential risks, and partnering across teams to keep agreements moving efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Report to and partner with the Chief Financial Officer on contract and legal matters.
- Review client contracts for accuracy, completeness, and potential legal or business risks, identifying areas requiring negotiation or escalation.
- Review advertising, marketing, and commercial agreements for alignment with applicable requirements and company standards.
- Draft, review, and support the negotiation of vendor agreements, partnership agreements, client contracts, and other commercial transactions.
- Support a high volume of client contracts while helping ensure agreements move through the review and approval process efficiently.
- Research legal and contractual issues and help identify practical approaches to minimize potential risk.
- Partner with Finance, Sales, Client Experience, Business Operations, and other internal teams to gather information and resolve contract-related questions.
- Maintain and update standard contract templates and supporting documentation.
- Organize, maintain, and track contracts throughout their lifecycle, including key terms, obligations, renewals, and expiration dates.
- Assist with monitoring contractual obligations and compliance following execution.
- Coordinate with outside counsel on matters requiring additional legal expertise or escalation.
- Manage and prioritize multiple legal and contractual requests based on business needs and urgency.
- Help maintain and reinforce consistent legal processes, guidelines, and contracting best practices.
Requirements
- Experience supporting commercial contracts, legal operations, corporate legal matters, or a related function.
- Strong understanding of contract terminology and the commercial contracting lifecycle.
- Experience reviewing and working with client, vendor, partnership, advertising, marketing, or similar commercial agreements.
- Ability to identify contractual risks and recognize when an issue requires additional review or escalation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to independently prioritize multiple requests and deadlines in a fast-paced business environment.
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Paralegal education, certification, or equivalent relevant professional experience preferred.

Pay
$45.00–$50.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week.
Work environment
We offer a mix of remote and hybrid working. Remote work arrangements are not available for all positions. Hybrid work is required for employees local to our offices. Where applicable, hybrid WFH days work must be conducted from your home office located in a jurisdiction in which Madison Logic has the legal right to operate. WFH requires availability and responsiveness on a full-time basis from a distraction-free environment with access to high-speed internet.
