About the role

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join a strong healthcare team with an excellent firm culture. The ideal candidate will have experience working with medical records, legal pleadings, and case preparation. Responsibilities

  • Prepare deposition materials, including binders, medical records, and diagnostic imaging files.
  • Draft discovery responses, court pleadings, and client correspondence.
  • Request and track medical and billing records from clients and third-party providers.
  • Review medical records to identify relevant providers and involved staff.
  • Abstract medical records and prepare chronologies.
  • Draft authorizations, non-party requests, and related compliance documentation.
  • Conduct research on Medical Review Panel nominees and summarize findings.
  • Prepare itemizations of damages and expert review materials.
  • Draft client reports and case update summaries.
  • Coordinate communications with outside counsel and experts.
  • Maintain organized case files and support attorneys with case preparation tasks.

Requirements

  • 3 plus years of experience with healthcare litigation and medical malpractice.
  • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and drafting legal documents.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

This position requires regular and predictable in-office attendance.

Pay

Starting compensation range: $65,000 - $85,000 a year.
