Duties And Responsibilities
- Review contracts and legal documents to locate certain data and information.
- Organize and maintain corporate legal files (primarily electronically).
- Aid in the development and maintenance of corporate policies.
- Conduct necessary employee training.
- Prepare summaries of contracts.
- Research and assist with matters relating to corporate compliance.
- Aid Assistant General Counsel with special projects as assigned.
- Enter data and information from documents into computer systems.
- Review, revise, and negotiate business agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other legal documents.
- Draft routine contracts and agreements (NDAs, sales contracts, distribution agreements, etc.).
- Perform a wide variety of clerical, technical, and administrative office support duties.
Minimum Requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
- Outstanding research and writing skills and strong oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate or equivalent paralegal education preferred.
- At least 1-3 years of experience working as a paralegal for a law firm or with an in-house legal department.
- Experience using legal research platforms such as Westlaw or Lexis preferred.
- Registered notary in the State of Ohio preferred.
