Paralegal (9 month FTC)

CMS is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated Assistant Paralegal or experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join our Legal Services Unit in our Sheffield or Manchester office on a 9 month fixed term contract. The role will focus on supporting one of our energy and utilities clients with documenting land rights in Scotland and England via servitudes and easements.

Responsibilities

• Managing a busy caseload of transactions including liaising with the client to obtain instructions
• Drafting the easement / servitude documentation, negotiating with the counterparty to the transaction and carrying out basic title reviews
• Updating online trackers
• Managing completion and post-completion registrations, forms, filing and client signing / reporting requirements

Requirements

• Enthusiastic Assistant Paralegal or experienced Real Estate-focused Paralegal
• Keen eye for detail with the ability to use your initiative
• Experience dealing with a large workload
• Strong academic background
• Degree in law or equivalent qualification, or working towards CILEX, or previous time-served Paralegal experience in a Real Estate background
