About the role
Provides individual behavior intervention and medical support to students in a classroom settings, assists individuals or small groups of students to enhance learning. Assists teachers with instruction and classroom management that occurs in special education and general education classrooms, lunchroom and play field environs.Responsibilities

- Aids teachers with instruction and classroom management in special education and general education classrooms, lunchroom, and play field environments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Completion of at least 48 college credit units may substitute for the competency assessment.
- Valid driver’s license (may be required).
- Compliance with District skill/competency requirements.
- Valid First Aid/CPR card (may be required).
Qualifications
- Knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Experience in providing individual behavior intervention and medical support.
- Experience in assisting individuals or small groups of students to enhance learning.
- Experience in classroom management in special education and general education settings.
- Experience in working with students in various school environments (classrooms, lunchroom, play field).
