Paraeducator-Independence Facilitator - 7 hrs/day (Sierra View)

About the role

Provides individual behavior intervention and medical support to students in classroom settings, assists individuals or small groups of students to enhance learning, and assists teachers with instruction and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Supports students with behavior intervention and medical needs
• Aids in enhancing learning through individual and group assistance
• Assists teachers in classroom management and instructional support
• Works in special education and general education classrooms, lunchrooms, and play fields

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics
• Completion of at least 48 college credit units may substitute for the competency assessment
• Valid driver's license (may be required)
• Compliance with District skill/competency requirements

$21.24 - $28.08 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on relevant experience.
