About the role

The Paraeducator position is responsible for providing support to students in the STRIVE program, which is designed to help students transitioning from high school to vocational experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Support students in the STRIVE program with daily activities and routines.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers and other staff members.
  • Provide additional support as needed based on individual student needs.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of behavior support strategies and techniques.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for supporting students in their transition to adulthood.
