Painter II - 2nd Shift (Onsite)

This is a 2nd shift onsite position located in Wilson, NC with the following hours: Monday - Friday (3:30pm - 11:30pm). Overtime may be required. U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces to be painted by cleaning, masking, and sanding.
• Apply paint to parts using HVLP spray gun, adjusting the gun to maximize transfer efficiency and instructing others on proper techniques.
• Clean and maintain spray equipment, ensuring manometers, filters, ovens, and all related equipment meet specification requirements.
• Understand and apply proper spray patterns, angles, distance to part, and racking/hanging techniques.
• Accurately read and follow procedures, routing, and other work instructions.
• Complete required documentation and ensure quality product standards with no defects.
• Meet customer deadlines and maintain a clean work environment.
• Store, handle, use, and dispose of hazardous chemicals in compliance with federal and state laws.
• Comply with all company rules and regulations, including Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance, and Human Resources.
• Participate in cost reduction plans, continuous improvement events, and audits.
• Acquire applicable skills, knowledge, and certifications as required.
• Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Report work progress, updates, and any quality issues to lead or supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope and skill level of the role.

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D.) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
