Paint/ Shop Technician

About the role

ARC Fabricators has an immediate need to hire a Paint Shop Technician. We are looking for a detail-oriented Paint Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience working in a shop painting automobiles and equipment. We are looking for an individual who takes pride in their work and has an eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to follow instructions
• Collaborating directly with plant manager, shop supervisor, customer, drafter, and peers to produce finished products
• Proficient in modern painting techniques and equipment
• Using manual and power tools for finish grinding applications
• Reading, understanding, and following detailed drawings and blueprint specifications
• Performing all job functions and using all equipment safely by following all safety policies and good housekeeping practices
• Handling other duties as assigned within the scope of the position

Requirements

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand
• The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Work Environment:

• Exposed to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and heat (proper PPE & safety training will be provided)
• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 2+ years of experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
