Paint Coordinator

Primary Responsibilities

  • Subcontractor Management: Act as the focal point of contact for the on-site paint shop subcontractor, overseeing daily service execution and aligning operations with FAL schedules.
  • Performance Tracking & Analytics: Establish, monitor, and analyze critical KPIs to measure subcontractor deliverables, quality standards, and adherence to timelines.
  • Operational Control: Monitor the end-to-end execution of the Service Sub-activity, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Including: Daily review of the Paint Planning and ensure advance coordination for External Paint. Validate and provide drawings per customer livery to the Service Provider following the instruction from the ME Department and using FTS. Effective interaction with the Airbus Logistics Team to ensure materials are available. Daily attendance to Program’s SQCDP meetings and MFT integration.
  • Reporting & Consolidation: Consolidate comprehensive performance data (NC's, QLB's and ALB's) to present regular health-of-business reviews regarding service provider efficiency and compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned: Provide NC's, QLB's and ALB's documentation to the Service Provider via email. Host the Daily Paint Rework Planning Meeting to align with the Program service requirements and their priorities.

Required Education

  • A Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or an equivalent experience.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Aviation (Manufacturing Engineering, Assembly Processes, Production method, etc.).
  • or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience

  • With Quality / Logistics rules in aviation manufacturing.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills on different levels, a structured way of working and the ability to deal with a volume of complex information.
  • Experience as a member and leader of an international team.

  • Travel Required: Domestic and International

Additional Physical Requirements

  • Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions.
  • Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings; Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
  • Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
  • Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts and arms.
  • Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20 lbs./ which engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.
  • Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs./.
  • Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas and on shop floor.
  • Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
  • Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor or outdoor surfaces other business interactions.
  • Space Limitations: Working on jigs at the fuselage at a height of 15 feet.
