Job Requirements
The University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center, a member of the University of Maryland Medical System, is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Pain Physician to join the UM SJMC Spine Institute in Towson, Maryland.
About the Role
This physician will join the brand new, state-of-the-art, multispecialty Pain and Spine Center located on St. Joseph Medical Center campus. This pain specialist will work alongside a highly collegial, well-established group of Spine and Pain Management/Interventional Pain physicians, as well as a strong team of APPs. Large, existing patient panel in place with additional growth expected.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed clinical assessment of patients and formulate a treatment plan.
- Perform interventional procedures – Epidural steroid injections, Facet blocks and Rhizotomy, Major joints injections, Peripheral nerve blocks, Spinal cord stimulation trial and Peripheral nerve stimulations.
- Perform Advanced Pain interventional procedures – Minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD), SI joint fusion, Spinal cord stimulation Implant and Basivertebral nerve ablation (BVNA).
- Mentorship opportunity available for new fellowship graduate to become proficient in these Advanced procedures.
Requirements
- Fellowship trained in pain management.
- Board Certified in pain.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in area of specialization.
- Successful completion of residency/fellowship training in area of specialization.
Qualifications
- License to practice medicine in the state of Maryland.
