About the role

The Packing Clerk / Shipping Assistant supports all aspects of the shipping and receiving process to help ensure products are shipped accurately and on time. Working closely with the Shipping & Receiving team, this position coordinates the movement of finished goods to designated staging lanes for inspection, packaging, and loading and assists with the receipt of incoming goods.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team with placing products in the correct staging lanes for shipment.
• Coordinate with the Team Lead to verify completed orders in the ERP system and prepare them for shipment.
• Ensure products are packaged in accordance with Latham Pool Products’ packaging standards.
• Move finished goods from the production department to storage and designated staging areas.
• Assist with international shipping arrangements and required documentation.
• Support the receiving and processing of incoming goods.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all company policies, quality assurance programs, procedures, and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least three years of shipping and warehouse experience.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to perform the heavy lifting required for the position.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and achieve established goals.
• Current forklift license or the ability to operate a forklift and obtain a license promptly.

Pay

Salary range: $22.18 per hour (starting pay varies based on location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience).
