Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, a successful Packager prepares product for shipment both manually and via electric powered industrial equipment with lifting devices, such as motorized pallet jack and/or reach truck. Packagers prepare and packages customer product in a safe and efficient manner while following the instruction of the Line Lead and Quality Lead.

• Package order from the slot
• Attention to detail and able to multitask
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner
• Put the merchandise in the box
• Send it to the line (ship)
• Replenish products for Combi machine for the next shift
• Organize, tidy-up and clean your work area and equipment
• Report any errors or dysfunctions to the team leaders
• Respect the best practices and training guides in force on the job
• Cross train in other areas of the department
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Possess strong oral and written communications skills
• Must be able to work in a varied, fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs
• Ability to sit/walk/stand for long periods of time
• Follow all standards of PPE in the distribution center: for example, wearing steel toed shoes, safety glasses, safety vest or any other standards provided by site leadership

Qualifications

Preferred but not required: Bilingual (English & Spanish), experience with RF technology

Pay and Schedule

Compensation: $17.50 per hour plus $2.00 shift differential for hours worked. Schedule: Friday – Sunday 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM. Must be flexible to work overtime on short notice and on off days as the business need arises.
