Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, a successful Packager prepares product for shipment both manually and via electric powered industrial equipment with lifting devices, such as motorized pallet jack and/or reach truck. Packagers prepare and packages customer product in a safe and efficient manner while following the instruction of the Line Lead and Quality Lead.
Responsibilities
The Packager’s primary purpose is to perform production work such as packaging materials and verifying items for accuracy before packing. Success in this position is measured by maintaining and/or surpassing the standard OPH (orders per hour) by client and exceeding efficiency goals to satisfy client needs and demands.

- Put the merchandise in the box
- Send it to the line (ship)
- Replenish products for Combi machine for the next shift
- Organize, tidy-up and clean your work area and equipment
- Report any errors or dysfunctions to the team leaders
- Respect the best practices and training guides in force on the job
- Cross train in other areas of the department
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Possess strong oral and written communications skills
- Must be able to work in a varied, fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs
- Ability to sit/walk/stand for long periods of time
- Follow all standards of PPE in the distribution center: for example, wearing steel toed shoes, safety glasses, safety vest or any other standards provided by site leadership
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma/GED. Used RF technology is preferred but not required. Bilingual (English & Spanish) is also preferred.

Pay and Schedule
Compensation: $17.50 per hour. Schedule: Monday – Thursday 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM. Must be flexible to work overtime on short notice and on off days as the business need arises. Status: Non-Exempt
