PA-OH-WV-DE Power Market Sector Lead

About the role

HDR is seeking a Power Market Sector Leader to oversee and guide the expansion of HDR’s Power program in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and Delaware. This role requires a strong background in power generation, delivery, or similar technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Grow, monitor, and execute HDR’s portfolio of Power services in the designated regions.
• Partner with local and regional business development leaders to align strategies with market trends and client needs.
• Identify and pursue opportunities across various services such as design, consulting, advisory, owners engineering, asset management, due diligence, and planning.
• Develop and maintain external teaming relationships with industry counterparts and participate in industry associations.
• Lead and manage projects to ensure they are executed with quality and appropriate staffing.
• Manage client relationships, including recruiting and hiring staff to support business development plans.
• Coordinate with local operations, section managers, and business group leadership to facilitate work sharing.
• Drive client growth and lead the team towards achieving growth goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, planning, or related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
• Experience in developing and managing strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering services.
• Experience in building and maintaining diverse client relationships and pursuing specific program and project opportunities.
• Experience in staff development, including recruiting, career path development, and professional growth.
• Experience with industry associations and a visible presence in the market sector.
• Ability to work collaboratively with regional market sector directors, market sector directors, business class directors, regional business group directors, area business group managers, and area marketing managers.
• Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and an active participation in the employee-owned culture.

Preferred Qualifications

• PE license or industry equivalent.
• PMP Certification.

Pay and Schedule

The expected compensation range for this position varies based on skills, experience, education, and geographical location. In Ohio, the range is $146,090 - $208,700.
