Business Development$94k–$294k/yrFull-time

About The Role

We help P&C carriers modernize Personal and Commercial lines operations – Underwriting, and Claims—using domain depth, data driven process reinvention, and AI (including agentic AI).

You’ll lead cross functional teams to redesign operating models, digitize workflows, and scale AI enabled capabilities that support profitable growth, reduce loss and LAE, compress cycle times, and elevate the policyholder/claimant experience.

You’ll also play a hands-on role in business development, shaping solutions and growing enduring client relationships.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategy & Operating Model
    • Diagnose current state Claims across Personal (Auto, Homeowners) and Commercial (SMB, Middle Market, Specialty) lines; identify leakage, rework, and cycle time drivers.
    • Redesign target operating models and reinvent/imagine end-to-end processes spanning Claims (FNOL, coverage/causation, investigation/SIU, subrogation, litigation management, vendor orchestration, and recovery) and Underwriting.
  • AI, Data & Intelligent Workflows
    • Lead design of AI/agentic AI end-to-end processes and support enablement of those solutions.
    • Partner with engineering/data teams to design and implement end-to-end agentic workflows (e.g., doc ingestion → policy/coverage retrieval → summarization → suggested adjudication actions) with appropriate human in the loop controls.
  • Delivery & Change Leadership
    • Manage end-to-end engagements (assessment → design → pilot → scale); set OKRs, roadmaps, and benefits realization.
    • Lead small to midsized teams; coach analysts/consultants and client SMEs; drive stakeholder alignment across Claims, Legal, Compliance, SIU, IT, and Finance.
  • Client Growth & Thought Leadership
    • Shape proposals and solution architectures; craft business cases and delivery strategy, design, and execution projects.
    • Build client executive relationships; contribute to industry PoVs that support Accenture’s leadership position in the Insurance Consulting industry.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years working in management consulting or industry experience with life and annuity carriers focused on technology implementations and/or business process design.
  • 5+ years identifying, leading, shaping, and selling Insurance consulting engagements.
  • 5+ years working in agile delivery, with experience as a product manager or product owner.
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep functional knowledge of insurance across the value chain (e.g., underwriting, claims, operations, distribution) with the ability to connect strategy to day-to-day execution.
  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end process reinvention, including redesigning workflows, roles, and decision rights to materially improve cost, cycle time, and customer outcomes.
  • Experience defining and implementing target operating models that integrate business, technology, data, and AI to sustainably scale value.
  • Working knowledge of AI and agentic AI applications in insurance (e.g., automation, fraud detection, decision support, predictive analytics) and the ability to translate concepts into practical use cases.
  • Strong execution mindset with a track record of converting vision into actionable roadmaps, measurable outcomes, and realized business impact.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to build high performing teams and partner effectively across business, technology, and risk/compliance functions.
