Overnight In-Room Dining Server

About the Role

Reporting to the In Room Dining Manager, you will be part of Austin's largest luxury property, Fairmont Austin, which offers 1,048 guestrooms and suites along with over 140,000 square feet of meeting and event space. This role provides an opportunity to join an innovative and passionate hotel team in one of the fastest-growing markets in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Have full knowledge of all beverage lists and menu items
• Deliver food and beverage in a timely and accurate manner
• Check outgoing orders for quality and accuracy of setup
• Follow outlet policies, procedures, and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Complete daily assigned employee shift side work
• Double-check all VIP orders with your manager on duty
• Immediately communicate all special guest needs to your manager on duty
• Pace all In Room Dining order distribution and deliveries to company standards
• Assist with amenity delivery
• Coordinate removal of IRD equipment from guest rooms and public areas, sort retrieved condiments and equipment, and store them accordingly
• Maintain departmental requisitioned supplies properly stored and organized
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous Point of Sale System experience preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
