Outside Sales- NYC
About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Outside Sales Representative to join our team in the New York City area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for process applications in industries such as power, oil and gas, chemical, water/wastewater treatment, food & beverage production, pharmaceuticals, pulp & paper, and other life-sustaining manufacturing facilities. You should have a strong background in technical sales, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with customers and manufacturers.
Responsibilities
- Grow your assigned territory by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers
- Provide technical guidance and solutions to engineering challenges faced by customers
- Manage your schedule, book of business, calls, and emails effectively
- Travel to existing and new customer locations to build relationships and close deals
- Participate in training sessions and product demonstrations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business/engineering or technical field preferred
- Industrial automation or process industry experience preferred
- Strong technical communications and organizational skills
- Experience selling process control products to engineers/technicians in industrial applications
- Enthusiasm for the types of products we sell and service (process measurement instrumentation, controls valves, actuators, positioners, gas & flame detection, and electrical heat trace)

Compensation is commensurate with experience and performance.
Schedule
Candidates will work out of their home office with occasional overnight travel for training and meetings. Initial training will take place at our headquarters in Edgemont, PA.
