Outside Parts Salesperson- Wilmington, NC

Essential Duties

• Visit assigned customers.
• Possess prospecting skills for new customers.
• Communicate parts orders to inside salespeople or handle the order onsite.
• Review special deal orders with the parts manager and obtain approval.
• Obtain parts manager's approval for any special pricing.
• Advise inside salespeople on delivery instructions.
• Follow up on parts orders to ensure proper service.
• Congnorate service sales with service salespeople.
• Turn in completed call reports, time sheets, and expense reports.
• Update customer records to reflect changes.
• Add new customers to appropriate mailing lists.
• Attend training seminars when required.
• Act as a public relations liaison for the dealership.
• Maintain a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
• Maintain a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six months to one-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• MS Office (Word and Excel) skills are highly recommended.
• Ability to be trained on business software products essential to this position.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six months to one-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• MS Office (Word and Excel) skills are highly recommended.

• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands

• Lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying parts up to 80 lbs.
• Climbing on and off forklift using three points of contact.
• Climbing up and down ladders to reach parts on high shelving.
• Stooping to get parts on low shelving.

Total Compensation Package

Total Compensation Package: $50,000-$85,000 per year, including base salary and bonuses, based on experience.
