Outside Parts Salesperson

About the role

Develop and achieve maximum profitable sales volume of parts and labor services from assigned accounts in a designated territory. Analyze customer operations to ascertain future parts, service, and truck requirements. Plan territory coverage, call on key accounts (current and prospective) regularly, take orders, introduce new products and promotions, and provide literature as necessary. Complete weekly customer call sheets summarizing calls made.

Control personal expenses within the approved expense budget and submit weekly expense reports. Promote all MHC product and service offerings including RoadForce, Service, Body Shop, Truck Sales, Leasing, Carrier, and Finance. Investigate and refer customer complaints to the appropriate Department Manager and/or Branch Manager. Assist counter personnel with orders, deliveries, returns, inventory, and other tasks as assigned.

This position is designated as safety-sensitive. Any lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death, including operating, repairing, or maintaining heavy equipment, machinery, or motor vehicles, or handling hazardous materials and waste.

Requirements

• One-year automotive parts related experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience dealing with the public in a sales/service capacity
• Computer skills preferred
