Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders
- Build connections with law enforcement, fire and rescue, shelters, food banks, and other community partners
- Promote Mobile Response Team services and available mental health resources
- Conduct presentations and workshops to educate the community about mental health services and resources
- Develop and implement outreach strategies targeting specific populations, including underserved and at-risk groups
- Create promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, and social media content
- Plan and coordinate community events, health fairs, and educational seminars
- Promote mental health awareness and help reduce stigma
- Organize training sessions and workshops for staff and volunteers to support effective outreach efforts
- Attend public and community events representing the Mobile Response Team
- Work closely with clinical staff to understand available services and communicate resources effectively
- Collaborate with local governments, non-profit organizations, healthcare providers, and other community partners
- Develop partnerships that enhance service delivery and community support
- Advocate for mental health awareness and access to community resources
- Support individuals seeking mental health services and resources
- Help individuals understand available options and their rights
- Collect and analyze data related to outreach activities and community engagement
- Prepare reports for management regarding outreach initiatives and community needs
- Provide suggestions for program improvements based on outreach findings and community feedback
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Community Health, or a related field
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in community outreach, public relations, or a related field, preferably in a mental health or healthcare setting
- Experience working with marginalized or underserved communities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong public speaking and community engagement abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred
- Experience working in a mental health or healthcare setting
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus
- Experience developing community partnerships and conducting public presentations

- Strong knowledge of mental health issues, services, and community resources
- Familiarity with community health assessments and program evaluation

Physical Demands
- Combination of office-based work and community outreach
- Frequent travel to community events, meetings, presentations, and partner organizations
- Ability to attend outreach programs and events outside of standard business hours when needed
Working Conditions

- Regular interaction with community organizations, healthcare providers, schools, law enforcement, government agencies, and members of the public
- Local travel required for community outreach events and meetings
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for outreach programs and events
Schedule
Full-Time Position
Schedule: Monday–Friday; flexibility required for evening and weekend outreach events
