About the role
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full-time Outpatient Tech Assistant for our Outpatient Lab. This role operates under the supervision of the Administrative Director, Laboratory Services, Department Supervisor, or authorized designee, and with clinical oversight by the Medical Director or appointed Pathologist, in compliance with federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform all types of phlebotomy
- Handle routine clerical functions
- Greet patients and visitors
- Enter physician orders into the computer system
- Perform data entry and retrieval of patient results and messages
- Conduct EKGs
- Perform therapeutic phlebotomy as part of the laboratory workflow
