About the role
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full-time Outpatient Tech Assistant for our Outpatient Lab. This role operates under the supervision of the Administrative Director, Laboratory Services, Department Supervisor, or authorized designee, with clinical oversight by the Medical Director or appointed Pathologist.
Responsibilities
- Perform all types of phlebotomy
- Handle routine clerical functions
- Greet patients and visitors
- Perform computer entry of physician orders
- Conduct data entry and retrieval of patient results and messages
- Perform EKGs
- Assist with therapeutic phlebotomy and laboratory workflow
