Outpatient Speech Therapist Pool

About the role

Winter Haven Hospital part of the BayCare Health System is seeking a compassionate and motivated Outpatient Speech ‑ Language Pathologist (SLP) Pool/PRN.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with communication, cognitive‑linguistic, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders in an outpatient setting.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient goals.
• Provide evidence ‑ based therapy for adult patients.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, progress, and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction efforts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Florida State License in Speech-Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
