Responsibilities
- Oversees the care provided by therapy aides, adhering to established regulations and practice standards.
- Maintains productivity standards through effective time management and clinical efficiency, adjusting work hours as needed.
- Practices professional development by staying updated with clinical knowledge, best practices, and serving as a clinical instructor.
- Adapts to changes in patient census by adjusting working hours and assisting in other centers/programs as necessary.
- Ensures patient and employee safety in all job activities.
- Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through community involvement and clinical expertise.
- Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards, establishing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Documents accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology.
- Charges patients accurately, timely, and legibly according to CPT code format and insurance guidelines.
- Evaluates age-appropriate behavior, motor skills, and physiological norms, modifying approach and communication skills as needed.
- Identifies and addresses the need for patient/caregiver education, utilizing opportunities for teaching and documenting education appropriately.
- Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports departmental quality standards and initiatives.
Requirements
- Entry-level competency of speech language pathology therapy practice theory and principles as defined in competency department policies.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Able to read, write, and speak conversational English.
- NMES Training preferred.
- LSVT preferred.
- Experience with NMES training, LSVT, modified barium swallow study, and flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES).
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology preferred.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Feeding and swallowing experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS).
- Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).

- Knowledge of growth and development to evaluate age-appropriate behavior, motor skills, and physiological norms.
- Ability to modify approach and communication skills as needed.
- Ability to identify and address the need for patient/caregiver education.

Pay
$65,622.66 - $122,055.21
Schedule
Mon-Fri, 4x10 hour shifts (typically 7:30am-6:30pm) OR 5x8 hour shifts (9:00am-6:00pm)
