About the role

Innovative Therapy Concepts is partnering with Texas Orthopaedic Associates to provide outpatient orthopedic physical therapy services. We are seeking a Physical Therapist who is eager to join an organization dedicated to elevating the patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews physician referrals and patient medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required.
• Tests and measures patient strength, motor development, sensory perception, and functional capacity.
• Plans and prepares written treatment programs based on evaluations.
• Administers manual and therapeutic exercises to improve strength, range of motion, flexibility, and cardiovascular function.
• Instructs and motivates patients to perform various physical activities and use assistive devices.
• Administers treatments involving physical agents such as heat, cold, electrical stimulation, and modalities.
• Evaluates treatment effects and adjusts programs as necessary.
• Administers massage, traction, and other treatments.
• Records treatment details and progress in patient charts.
• Orients, instructs, and directs assistants and techs.
• Conducts lectures and training sessions on physical therapy and related topics.
• Participates in research and consults with other healthcare professionals.
• Supervises Physical Therapy Assistants or Technicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• Strong drive to learn and grow clinical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passes the National Physical Therapy Examination and fulfills state requirements.
• Willingness to work occasional weekend shifts.
• Committed to helping patients and maintaining a positive attitude.
