Outpatient Dialysis Nurse - RN

About the Role

This is an entry-level Registered Nurse (RN) position responsible for providing and coordinating clinically competent outpatient hemodialysis care.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient assessments, monitors treatment, and adjusts care plans as needed.
• Documents all care in medical records accurately and timely.
• Provides patient and family education on dialysis and related health topics.
• Administers medications and assists in emergency situations.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
• Ensures laboratory procedures are followed per protocol.
• Participates in staff training and may supervise or oversee other care staff as designated.

Requirements

• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Relevant nephrology experience or training; entry-level RNs with less than 2 years of nephrology experience are encouraged to apply.
• Must meet state practice requirements and complete necessary training.

Physical & Work Conditions

• Involves heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and potential exposure to infectious materials.
• Work environment is a healthcare facility with moderate noise and temperature control.

Pay

Compensation ranges from $29.00 to $50.00 hourly.
