About the Role
This is an entry-level Registered Nurse (RN) position responsible for providing and coordinating clinically competent outpatient hemodialysis care.
Responsibilities
- Conducts patient assessments, monitors treatment, and adjusts care plans as needed.
- Documents all care in medical records accurately and timely.
- Provides patient and family education on dialysis and related health topics.
- Administers medications and assists in emergency situations.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
- Ensures laboratory procedures are followed per protocol.
- Participates in staff training and may supervise or oversee other care staff as designated.
Requirements
- Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Relevant nephrology experience or training; entry-level RNs with less than 2 years of nephrology experience are encouraged to apply.
- Must meet state practice requirements and complete necessary training.
Physical & Work Conditions
- Involves heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and potential exposure to infectious materials.
- Work environment is a healthcare facility with moderate noise and temperature control.
Pay
Compensation ranges from $29.00 to $50.00 hourly.
